Technical Games Designer | Abertay University Graduate
I'm Brandon, a 2025 graduate of Games Design and Production at Abertay University. I am currently based in Glasgow though I am willing and able to relocate.
I'm searching for jobs in technical design and games programming.
I've created games in both Unity and Unreal, working both on solo projects and collaborating in cross-disciplinary teams. Furthermore, I was employed as a Game Developer Intern for Digital.ai.
I am passionate about all things programming, with skills in both Unity C# and Unreal C++ and Blueprint. I love to prototype, design and iterate on gameplay mechanics and features, and creating a memorable player experience.

In my 2nd year studying at Abertay, I helped develop Behind with my team Nervous Knight Games. It was a game design experiment, to see if we could create a local multiplayer fighting game, where you could only attack from, well, Behind!
We went on to win a place as finalists in Abertay's DARE Academy 2023, a game design competition where we got the opportunity to learn from industry mentors. We also got to showcase our game along with the other finalists at EGX in London!
Although we didn't win, that honour would go to Book of Abominations (check it out, the game and the people behind it are amazing!), it was still an amazing experience that honed my collaborative and communication skills by throwing myself into the deep end.
Afterwards, I became Student Rep for Game Design and Production, helping to organise events and game jams, as well as effectively communicate between students, lecturers and university staff.
Weirdly enough, I am quite fond of games. I like to try out as many new and different games as possible, but my love/addiction for Grand Strategy games like Europa Universalis 4 (and it's Anbennar mod in particular) is hard to beat. I dread to think what skills I could've mastered in the 2400+ hours of playtime I have in that game.
A game I've played recently that caught my eye was Control by Remedy Entertainment, I picked it up on the Steam summer sale and it's a blast! The weighty, visceral feel of your telekinetic powers is out of this world, which is fitting for its incredible artistic direction inspired by the "new weird" of SCP and David Lynch (RIP).
I am a lifelong Transformers fan / nerd (I somehow got my supervisor to sign off on a Transformers game for my honours project!) and a general lover of big robots fighting each other.
I also have two dogs, Bonnie and Hope. They are vicious wild beasts.
